Had a nice lunch there today. A good list of menu choices, and only £6 each. Bargain! yum

Possible lunch venue for next week??

I've had a couple of meals there, the food is always pretty good.

Reading one of their leaflets, the owners group also has the Thatched Tavern in Cheapside, the Fox and Hounds near Bishopsgate, and they recently bought the Robin Hood Near Maidenhead (Pinkneys Green).
All handy, so worth a try smile

Thatch is my local, normally there at least once a week, and the Fox is nice in the Summer.

I like the Fox, although has lost a bit of outside character since they built the winter smoking shelter in front of the original horse feed baskets. Was nice to see them, and they kept the kids amused (making additional time for guinness consumption).

Where are the people who can't drive going to park their 'motors' now? hehe

I like the Brickies and often used to meet a friend for an evening drink in the garden on sunny summer afternoons when she worked locally but the Half Moon though is generally where I'd go for lunch and I thoroughly recommend it...... erm maybe I shouldn't it's hard enough to get a table as it is!

Half Moon gets a big thumbup from me too.

IMO the best summer beer garden for miles around biggrin (although have to agree its always pretty hard to get a table when the sun is out!)
