Just been round the parents house and two or three downpipe gullies are completely blocked with decaying leaves and other vegetation. Travis Perkins are out of pressure washers with a drain reel attachment so I need to find an alternative.

Does anyone have a pressure washer that I could borrow or hire for a nominal fee/beers to unblock the drains. I have tried drain rods but there aren't flexible enough to get round the radius.

Any other suggests would be great. Caustic soda will not do anything I wouldn't have thought!

I did my mum and dads with jut a pressure washer up the ladder bungee stylie, did a good job and my dad moved the fastest he had in years when i nearly dropped it on his head hehe from the top!

Id be cautious of buying apendadges (sp) that cost a bomb for a onw off job.

If it's PVC down pipes I would disconnect then and just flush with a hose.
Remove some clips and the pipes should just seperate.
Be carefull using pressure washer attachments as sometimes the small hose can turn and come back at you with resulting issues if your up a ladder with nowhere to run.
If the block is at the swann neck under the gutter remove or use a short length of wire combined with the garden hose.
While your up there wash the gutters through to clear the rest of the crud.
You may find blockage at base of down pipe if direct into ground.
Again remove and attenpt to clear with hose.

I have industrial duty pressure plant but a bit of an overkill for 70mm downpipes.
If the below ground pipes normaly 100mm diameter are blocked however you may require something with a bit more grunt.
