Prompted by this thread here: http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a...

There's some serious metal on there that I could spend some hard earnt cash on.

So taking the same £1k idea to that that thread as above, what do we SASers have locally, that I could spend a few bob on?

Feel free to point to autotrader, classic cars, PH classifieds, etc, etc.

Bonus points if the seller is known to one of us wink

Again - the key here is local(ish). Some of the best stuff on that other thread is up north, scotland, etc.

K

Make that 1 less thread and 1 more post over those Northern lot

Yeah. But having seen the Audi at half the price, and a lovely Saab turbo at nearly 2 ton cheaper .... now making me think that you could get much better/newer/bigger/cheaper smile

Cheap to run, cheap to insure, cheap to fix, cheap to buy - these are one of the bargains of the decade at the moment! AND it's a manual so tail out fun on demand!:
http://search.autotrader.co.uk/es-uk/www/cars/VAUX...

Needs some tlc, but looks good and these go forever with a service history:
http://search.autotrader.co.uk/es-uk/www/cars/VOLV...

Good for playing taxi in the evenings!:

OR:

OK, so it's £2k (£1,700 with negotiation)... but great cars:
http://search.autotrader.co.uk/es-uk/www/cars/LEXU...

Bit over budget, but even though he says no offers every private seller will take an offer...
http://search.autotrader.co.uk/es-uk/www/cars/FORD...

BMW? Not a lot decent/modern for £1k'ish... frown
http://search.autotrader.co.uk/es-uk/www/cars/BMW+...

Audi's?
http://search.autotrader.co.uk/es-uk/www/cars/AUDI...

http://search.autotrader.co.uk/es-uk/www/cars/AUDI...

So nearly got one of these on several occassions, but worth a call to warrantywise first... smile

2.0 SRi power

OR

Fear me

Let me call attention to the spec:

- K&N racing filter (guaranteed 15bhp "max power" type increase....)
- Sports exhaust (read: HUGE back box. If nothing else, hear me roar smile)
- BK racing black alloys (reducing my unsprung weight to slay you in the bends)
- Lowered (i'll hug those apexes)
- Lexus front and rear lights (and if it has the blue windscreen washer lights as well, I am fully illuminated)
- Fully colour coded (to look gooooooood whilst I'm doing all the above)

PLUS with it being a Corsa, I think I can also lower the back seats for turbo booooost.

The thing that most intrigues me though, is why the drivers seat is 'whited out'. Just how bad does it have to be for someone to do THAT?!?!
