Ace Cafe - TVR, Lotus, Noble meet tonight

We have a friend over from Aussie tonight, and her partner is definitely a petrolhead. He is keen to see some british built cars and tonight seems like it fits the bill at the Ace.

Has any of the TV crew been to this meet before?

He is only here for one night so I don't really want to take him into london if there is only a few cars. Weather looks ok for tonight so hopefully that helps attendance.

Never been but I might be free tonight so could come and try it, happy to take said petrolhead for a spin if he wants - that's assuming I can make it. Fancy bringing the Chim up John, not seen it yet. Anyone else?

TC, I'm sure that would put a bloody great smile on his face, and would be much appreciated. TVR's are like hens teeth in Aussie... something you are only likely to see on a movie!

I went to one ages ago and it was a bit of a disapointment, that said the other meets seem to have got busier, I might pop over after checking out the pub.

4-5 Noble guys are attending for the first time tonight (I gather Lakelord might be adding himself to the list too from the above). The various TVR forums seems to have a good number of cars too. Not much else on offer for tonight, so we are going to head in for about 8pm

No worries, looks like we will be later heading in anyway (8.30/9.00), as they are still in london now after spending the day sightseeing.

Still running late... but not giving in yet. Be there before 9.30 if anyone is going for a look (Ben/Nigel after the pub?)

For future reference, even though it was raining and we didn't get there till 9.30 (which felt like it was leaving time for a lot of people) there was still a decently full car park of cars.

It was something like 14 elise, 8 exige, 8 noble, 8 TVRs, 2 ginetta, and a few other random models.

If it's a dry night, it could be worth a trip in future.
