If so what's it like? Abject misery I expect...

Haha just read my typo. I meant commute actually biggrin, that's after driving it once for an interview.

Well, you're going against the main flow of traffic on the M25. But it'll still be horrible...

Have done a few contract visits there over the last five years, even leaving early morning it's a PITA
Just as bad getting home again.
If the weather is pants it's a freaking nightmare.

Think you will need to get a bike instead (one with an engine)

Sorted wink

As for your commute ..... I wouldn't fancy that at all. That was no help at all. Sorry.

Cheers for the correction...

Hmmm, I've got a real dilemma here.

A nice commute and a normal job.

OR

A very sh!t commute 3 days a week and playing on megayachts around Europe a couple of times a month.....

Could you move down there?

There's some nice areas down there smile

Although, I don't think their local PH network is as active as ours ..... which reminds me - have you been to any of the SAS bashes?

I did Crowthorne to Westerham for 5 years.
Once you get your head round it, its not as bad as you imagine. and as has been mentioned, you are against the "tide".

The worst part is getting on the M25. Once you're on it it flows quite nicely round. Fridays seem to be very easy.
Coming back on a Friday though can be a bit of a 'mare.

It's not as bad as you'd imagine, but the more you make of it at work, the more opportunity you have of having a lay in and blaming it on the traffic!!

I would think Ascot to Chertsey/M25 should be ok, but as always the M25 is a lottery on any day!

Good move, I tend to be going the other way.
Typical run Camberley to Erith or Belmarsh 1 - 1/12 hours
Camberley to Brixton via A316 and South Circ 40mins
Buts thats in a 32 ton eight legger
Leave it too late and it's nightmare with lane hoppers and must get from slip to 3rd lane in warp speed #uck everyone else merchants
Otherwise should be free running traffic.
Monday at 05:30 to Newham was difficult owing to massive puddles and flooding.
Did not affect us in a 7.5 tonner but did create some interesting bow waveshehe
