Litre bottle of water with a teaspoon of vodka in it splashed on the windows and it's completely clear the instant the water touches the glass... Guy I know had his car nicked last winter and this is what the BiB told him had happened when he asked them how almost the instant he heard the car start it drove away. He was sitting upstairs watching telly in a room overlooking the driveway so wasn't even asleep!

(Vodka not recommended on your own car I might add!)

I thought I heard a noise downstairs at 2am but thought nothing of it.
When I told the police this, the operator responded with 'was it too cold for you to get out of bed then!?' OK next time, I'll go and confront them with a machette and either I get injured, or get done for hacking up the scum that broke in!!

We have a 3 wk old baby, and getting up every 2-3 hours.. strangley didn't hear the car start up?! No PSE but the car is right outside our bedroom window.

Thanks for the comments guys... will update you

Sorry to hear that the low-life scum bags have made off with your car - I hope they pick on someone who believes in and eye for an eye and get caught in the act. On the upside if you had gone downstairs at 02.00 to have a look things could have been a lot worse, we could he been reading about you on Sky News......

I am local and will keep my eye open although I would imagine its in a barn somewere changing its identity at the moment.

Good point. You and the missus and the baby are all safe, that's the most important thing, you can always buy another car.

Still not found the car. I haven't got an all singing/dancing tracker. Once I reported it stolen, Tracker will request a GPS signal from the unit.. sadly this has not responded... however it also emits a radio signal which I was told this morning by the rozzers that they had recieved a signal in Tilehurst (berks) and had a couple of cars looking for it (no call back from them).

Part of me wants the car back as it's a mint example (re-phrase .. WAS!) and can't be bothered with the hassle of claiming, searching for a replacement..

However knowing some retard scum bag has had their scabby mits on it will always be in the back of my mind if I get it back..

Thanks for all your kind comments...

Sorry to hear about your Porker. Unfortunately, loads of cars are pinched at the moment and they're usually high performance vehicles that are then used to commit further, more serious crimes, such as burglaries and armed robberies.
It seems to be mainly gangs from the Reading area that are doing the majority of the theiving. They often come down into northern Hampshire and try their luck in the small hours of the morning.

No not yet. Rang Tracker last night, not very hopefull. It's still not emitting a GPS signal, so only chances are a traffic car picks up a radio signal.

Can't see me getting it back at this stage frown
