I think SAS should 'do' London on New years eve.

London on NYE is really not very good - crowded, everything twice the normal price, full of chavs, rip-off merchants, kids and foreigners!

Edinburgh however... scratchchin

How about 'SAS do Bukkake'

That would bring the new year in with a bang hehe

Come on folks we need inspiration here please, to add another dimension, what was the best NYE you've had to date.

I'll start, mine was getting ttted in reading, dancing like an idiot in Reflex to crap 80s music then ending up with my ex GF.

A few of my friends might be at a loose end too if we come up with a good idea smile

Best ever?

Got tickets to the Bath Ball - cheap B&B with loads of friends and had a fantastic night!

Or the big family do at my folks place at the Millenium.

(and no Charlie, the Bath Ball does not involve dogs!)

Yea scotland might be fun but I have to work NYE day night shift, so need to be slightly in the area, although i will prob get it off.

I had a great night in CHeltenham and then the RAces on NY day, maybe there is a NY day horseracing aroung here after a good night out in a city?

Portsmouth was a good laught, just went around loads of bars and ended up in a club.

I'd also add I thought if done carefully the London fireworks are great and that's the backup plan for me at the moment.

Ive actually got my NYE planned and booked already, im going to Leeds and will be spending the night at Oceana....

New Years Eve 2008/2009
Oceana - Leeds
31 December 2008

What better way to celebrate the start of the New Year than by coming down to Oceana Leeds on the 31st December. With special treats such as a Champagne Reception, Chocolate Fountain, Stilt Walkers, Jugglers, Sexy Shot Girls, Karaoke, Topless Male Hosts and lots more. Come and experience the whole world in one night with our 5 themed bars and our 2 nightclubs. Playing the very best in the dance and R&B in The Grand Venetian Ballroom. And the funkiest sounds straight from Studio 64 with a mix.

Firing Pistols and setting off fireworls that frankly looked like mortars a few years bsck, to be honest newyears in the UK is usually SHEITE.

Last year drove round and saw as many friends as possible.

If nothing comes off I can do BG or Devon...

Lets make a plan...................

I second the London sentiment.

Edinburgh good but needs to be sorted very soon if we want to go there.

Prague....?
