The V5 is supposed to be a bit of a st engine all things considered.

V70 might be a sensible bet not sure I'd bother, how about a nice accord type r?

I actually quite like the SEAT, not the best on fuel, but will be better then the BMW. Although, if you are buying a snotter to replace the Astra, would you not want something with a hatchback so you can through loads of rubbish in it when you need to?

The BMW does look rather better value for money... and plenty of indy's around to look after it - which I doubt is the case for Caddys!!

Al - how about something a little less brutal on the insurance? (740's are Grp 18'ish...)

Hmm interesting, didnt realise those e320's were so powerfull. THe insurance really aint that bad, all around £400 from quick quotes so far, even the s8 v8 3.7 was only 460.

if i could get a nice fully loaded 5 series great, just dont know what engines are a good one??

Having looked at this again, I'm seriously tempted to go and have a poke at that myself! Keep the miles off the RS6 and I'll need a second car when the GTR arrives anyway...
