Well went to collect the TVR this morning from Oxfordshire. Lookes great, got the AA to recover it as the clutch has gone frown That got to RG ok.

But on my way back the roundabout from the Bracknell fire station road which Bagshot road goes onto, I was traveling upto it in the righthand lane to take 3rd exit to A322 and a BMW 325i coming off roundabout which I didnt even pay attention or see decides she like my side of the orad more and next thing I know my air bag is going off...

Here are the pics

My car is not too healthy just glad it was not the TVR! Even surprised my airbag went off as its 13 years old!!

Now the car is at up Ontime recovery and racking up storage costs frown Hope to drag it over to charlies as its the same site, then hope she admits fault and I will get my recovery costs back. Not been a good few weeks for me and cars lol

Least I killed her BM too biggrin

She says she dont know what happened. But i know I was not over the white line and the fact I have no damage to my nose means with the angle it surely must have been her coming over to my side as she left the roundabout..

Jeez Alex, you are certainly having a stretch of bad luck mate.
Glad you are ok though, and here's hoping the insurance company doesn't fk about too much.
Will the clutch be done in time for Sunday?

oh dear, you're astra isnt coming back from that is it....

I think she may be in touble with the law as it looks like she crossed the double whites to "get you". Maybe she thought she was coming on to a 2 lane section - but clearly wasnt. Due care and attention probably for her seeing as she caused a collision.

Good to hear that you're not hurt.

Cor look at that. A car with orange indicator glass. They dont make em like that any more. wink

What a PITA, still on the plus side it'll be hard to argue it's your fault, and you get to go banger shopping.

Glad you're ok Alex! At least the BiB got involved and it looks fairly black'n'white as to the cause...

What you need is a Land Rover Discovery so other cars and cones just bounce off?! biggrin

Glad you're ok Alex.

I can't see her having a leg to stand on to be honest considering she was on the wrong side of the road AND over the white line.

I hope it all gets sorted out asap for you mate.

Yes all ok, tough little car I thought.

Police are not persuing it anymore, well thats what the officer said at the time. Im hoping it workd in my favour, cannot see why it wont. Just a pain and its funny im more sad over astra damage thanwas the TVR!!?

Yes need a new hack now, will have to see what insurance brings money wise first, been a bloody expensive month now.

Im hoping the Tuscan clutch will be done tomorrow so all ok for sunday morning smile

Yes sheepskin coat and trader at the ready. And im in a hire car from my Tuscan "Breakdown" thanks to the AA and avis, so need to give that some grief now!!

Glad you are OK, that is quite a nasty bit of road - I had a wing mirror taken clean off on almost exactly the same spot about 4 years ago by a Spanish trucker, the only reason I got away with just a wing mirror was because I saw him mis-judge the corner and was able to hack into the lane to my left...........

At least your OK, Vehicles can be repaired.

Nothing that a spare wheel and a big hammer can't sort out.

I trust you read the dozy woman the riot act.
Those airbags could give you neck ache and sleepless night for months plus delayed shock and time off work.
Taxi's are always a bit more expensive at this time of year.

Jeez Alex, sorry to hear this frown

I'm guessing she was coming off the bend heading towards the M4? That bend is quite tight and I imagine there's loads of cars that take it too fast and stray into the oncoming traffic causing similar accidents.... I'm sure the local police will know this and it'll help build a case in your favour.

Hope all goes well for you mate.

Andy.
