We're planning to travel up to London tomorrow early afternoon to see a show in the evening and I'm trying to find a good spot to park up and hop on the tube. We'll also be repeating this exercise, with the kids in tow, a couple of times over the weekends between now and Christmas.

Can anyone recommend a good area to park for this? On-street parking is fine, assuming that no parking regulations will be infringed(!), or a good value car park is obviously the alternative.

Thanks, in anticipation... smile

If you head down the M4 past Heathrow airport and then chop over to "Hounslow West" there's a car park there which is only about £3 a day. I wouldn't leave anything fancy in there but it's usually full of nearly new BMW 5's so that should give you an idea...

Thanks Pete. I haven't got anything fancy to leave in there so that solves that problem! smile

Based on a bit of Googling, Hounslow West LU Station Car Park (NCP) appears to meet your description and weighs in at £2.50/day - does that sound like the one?

But.... its Hounslow

Sooo maybe go Osterley Tube Station and park in the NCP next to it (I think £3.50 for the day)

Slightly safer I think...

Best bet is to park in Golders Green and walk to the Tube, very safe area.

Alternatively you could park in Twyford and get the fast train into Paddington, plenty of nice roads 2mins from the station where you can park and no charge for either of these locations, if you wanna park at mine in Twyford your more than welcome, I have off street parking and keep my Porker there.

Can I keep my Porker there too?

She's really getting on my nerves.

I part drive/tube into London every week and use Kings Mall car park in Hammersmith. Always lots of space and very cheap too. Short walk to Hammersmith Tube Stations.

I have used this park (Osterley) many times. CCTV and loads of lighting in the Carpark. Right at the station as well.

Thanks for the offer - much appreciated. Unfortunately the overground train is the most expensive element in the equation, hence the quest to drive to within tubing distance.
