Yep look out for a small little card with the WEP key details, or if your right next to your router just use an ethernet cable and you shouldnt need a key smile

We have the install disc that came with the router. Think that is what you need. Can send it/ drop it in , if required.

I've got Sky and it's excellent. £5 month and unlimited - also get a 6MB connection and previously with BT they only provided 2MB. Customer service is pants if you ever have a problem though - typically 20-40 minute wait while the IVR try's to sell you sh!t you already have...

No, just got the broadband with the TV deal. When paying £20 to BT for broadband that was dog slow, the £5 deal from Sky seemed rather good. And even better when they turned it on and it was 3 times faster!

Would deffo recommend Sky £10 a month with the Sky Tv pacakage. Good download rates about 1200-1400kbs no FUP (Fair usuage policy) and a fairly decent upload.

Thats the "Max" package i think they call it.

Sounds just like AOL - Always Off Line.
Their customer help / Router service line sucks like a backstreet hooker.

You can download most Router software from the makers web site, that assuming you got web access of course.

Belkin disc here - Bagshot/Lightwater area.
Can copy so you keep it mate.

I thought as long as your pc had wifi, all you need is the modem network name and key.

I don't remember installing from a disk when I got Sky broadband!

I've got the CD that came in the router box, but never used it.
Setup was "plug in and go" as I remember - I have an older style Netgear router.

I've been with Sky for 18 months, and I've been OK so far. I have my home PC connected to the router by cable, and if I need to work from home I can get the company laptop to connect to VPN via wireless.
The only issues I've had are:
(i) Had to switch channels because someone nearby had a Sky router using the same channel.
(ii) A problem with very slow connections for a week or so, but Sky support sorted it.

I think what James is talking about is a wireless dongle jobbie that he *may* need the software from Belkin (as in my experience Belkin stuff is st), however should be able to download it from the web.

James if you're stuck I can pop over at the weekend at take a look.

Irritatingly, Sky have just announced they're hiking their price by £5 a month on packages where people HAVEN'T signed up to the whole shebang (Talk/BB/Sat). That's a 50% increase no matter which package you're on!

That maybe just a plug and play Wireless device.
Your windows system should be able to detect and connect it.
I am sure if you have problem that the software can be downloaded via the net.

I use AOL but it sucks, poor broadband signal which thay claim is my phone line.
BT however have done a full test an tell me it's good to go for high speed.
When AOL drops out which is does quite often I just plug in the Vodaphone 3G device from my work system and it's up and running.

Percussive Maintainance is sometimes required.
Would Sir like a 2lb or a 4lb Hammer or are we going Large with the full 24lb Sledge.....
