A few of us keep mentioning a run the weekend before the SAS Xmas do, either a Brecon run over the weekend with a b&b stay or a breakfast run on the sunday morning.

Who's up for what?

1. verysideways - weekend/breakfast
2.

I may be nursing the mother of all hangovers on the 29th as it'll have been dirty dicks on the 27th then out with work on the 28th, however subject to me being sober and my gearbox not totally giving up I'll be there.

I’m always keen to go for a drive, I don’t think I can make Brecon but how about a drive around the scenic countryside of Salisbury plain on Sunday morning?

Who's up for what?

1. verysideways - weekend/breakfast
2. Turbofun - sunday am (great roads in Wiltshire) idea

Me personally I'd rather go somewhere different and seriously silly and I think Brecon is about the closest / most fun.

Was looking into this over the weekend and found that Travelodge have just opened in Merthyr Tydfil which is on the South Side of the Beacons...

1) We all know a great pub for a Sat lunch start.
2) We have a great route from lunch to dinner - military roads, Beacons & Black Mountain
3) We now have a cheap'ish local hotel with a car park.
4) I've been recommended the New Balti Palace in Merthyr for a good curry.
5) Brecon mountain roads are empty'ish this time of year.

Sounds like a plan to me Pete!!

I've booked myself out on the 30th too, subject to getting a co-pilot seat.....
If I don't get an offer then I shall be up for a 30th hoon somewhere (can't do 29th)

I'm up for a breaky run before Xmas - may struggle to do a full weekend though...

Late Jan / early Feb for a New Year weekend hoon? We could call it the 'SHEEP! Run' in honour of Rob's last outing to Brecon? hehe

ETA: of course I'll probably be barred from PH by January at the rate I seem to be apparently offending people today! hehe

I've just realised what this lot are talking about for the 30th as I'm thick as st.

That said I'd still be up for a run on the saturday even if it's down to Brecon and back in a day.

I'm out with 130 other TVRs making noise in London.
It is open to all "enthusiasts" whether you drive/own a TVR or not smile

I'm up for coming along, either as a passenger or in a Swift Sport if I sell my car by then (finger's crossed!).

Brecons would be great with an overnight stay on saturday night.
