could have been my driving instructor . he got sent there in the 70's for murdering one of his pupils

I can remember it going off for a few escapes, one in the middle of the night. Took me a while to work out what was going on when it woke me up in the middle of the night along with the helicopters!

I definitely heard it go off briefly (a few seconds at most) around 3pm or 4pm, something like that. Very odd. Do you think someone on a tour of the facilities accidentally pressed "the red button"?

It went off twice when I was at school. between 76 and 82, we had to be collected by parents, then about 12 years ago the guy got as far as Chobham common...

Pete it went off for a reasonable time yesterday, I was in the middle of Wokingham, but it didnt sound like the normal local siren.

No it would probably have been on the news!!!!

Apparently some one was stabbed in there some years ago and they sounded the siren then...no escape...so who knows.
