Hi there,

My mum's 60th birthday in September and I would like to hire a venue or a nice function room somewhere.

Any suggestions would be welcome....it doesn't need to be massive, only for 40 or 50 say with the option for food and obviously a bar. A nice pub with a separate function area could work.

Thanks.

Gary who was in the Z1 BMW at Lemans had his 40th in a great place in Henley, it was nice cos you were right on the river and had the river view, I will get details if you want.

As part of searching for wedding venues we have found the new mill in Eversley, worth a look maybe.

The Ferry in Cookham has a private room called The Snug which is very nice and by the river.

The parking may be a problem

Have just been to a wedding reception at the Great House in Sonning. They have a nice suite which would easily accomodate forty - fifty people with nice views over the garden and Thames. Suspect it might be a bit pricey but nice all the same with good parking and facilities.
