Search for a chim
Discussion
After Blues kindly let me have a run in his Chim on Saturday, i've become somewhat addicted to the idea (the noise certainly helps) Thanks again for the time in your car David.
Knowing that the beast runs a SC and almost 400bhp means that I'm going ot head out for some test drives in standard 450 / 500's this week.
So hopefully, that's the weekend car taken care of....now i'm looking for the work horse.
I'm only looking to spend small money (up to £5k), as it's only going to do about 8k miles per year commuting and to be honest, that's all spent sat in traffic I'm thinking Audi / BMW at the moment. Nigel - gutted i missed the 540i as that would have provided some entertainment on the longer runs
The Z is back from repair and all ready for selling so hopefully, I should have some new wheels within a few weeks.

He really is trying to increase TVR ownership in the area isn't he
I'd say it might also be worth having a look at a few Griffs, although the Chim's do seem to be amazing value for money (along with the Cerbs and Tuscans).
Good luck
I'd say - hard not to want one after driving that car though....I'd say it might also be worth having a look at a few Griffs, although the Chim's do seem to be amazing value for money (along with the Cerbs and Tuscans).

I test drove a Cerb and it just didn't feel right (the windscreen felt like a letter box and I think my height meant I just couldn't feel where the car was on the road....just felt weird). Pity as I love the looks of them (but no soft top either......)
I haven't driven a Tuscan yet but the stories re: that speed six engine are a worry.
Thanks for the idea on the Griff though - i'll fit a test drive in for one of them too
