Restaurant suggestions needed for tomorrow - help!
Discussion
Chaps, i need to find a good restaurant for tomorrow night!
Although my wedding anniversary is not until next week (its a big one!) Mrs H wants to celebrate tomorrow.
I prefer not to have the hassle of going up to London, but need good food, live music, pleasant ambiance - within 30 minute cab ride of Crowthorne.
Is it possible?
Oh, and not the Jazz place at Ascot, and we'll probably keep Punto's for a "more special" occassion

Some local to me :
Waterside Inn, Bray
Fat Duck, Bray
The Royal Oak, Paley Street
Dunno about the music bit however.
Thanks Sinclair, i was thinking about the Fat Duck, the Tasting Menu looks fun, but we were looking for a bit more of a "night out". (did the Waterside a few years ago, they know how to charge oh )Waterside Inn, Bray

Please note that gentlemen are required to wear a jacket or tie in the Oak Room Restaurant,
I don't mind being reasonably smart, but jacket and tie is sooo last season. No live music on tomorrow either L'Ortolan in Shinfield..... http://www.lortolan.com/
...simply awesome food & Wine, no need for jacket & ties.

How about the Jazz Cafe at the Madjeski Stadium? Live music every Fri and Sat apparently... Never been but the food is supposed to be good and the music too.

That's the sort of place i had in mind John - It is run by the brother of one of our friend's and we have been several times . Its a great place to go in a group. You get a table for dinner and keep it all night as it transforms into a club. The food is good, usually great music and reasonably priced, but it's not quite right for just the two of us though.http://www.thejazzcafe.co.uk/
