I have booked a track day on Aug 11 at Keevil (Wiltshire)through these guys http://www.motorsport-events.com/ £99
Just be warned this will be my 1st track day hehe
I know that Dave500 and V8owner are penned in so I was wondering if any locals SAS / TV would be interested in coming along ?

Hmmm, not tracked the RS6 yet... I hear they are competent, but will write off a set of discs, pads and tyres in one track day! Makes the bargain sounding £99 pale into insignificance! hehe

I melted my tyres and cooked the brakes on the last track day and given that I have just replaced the discs/pads/tyres I think I shall be keeping away from the track until they are all at the end of their lives. smile

I don't think they will be at £1300.00 just for the front discs and pads yikes then you need to add the tyres laugh

I have been speaking with the organisers of the Trackday and have some basic info.
£99 for the day per car
Starts at 9am, then briefing.
A few laps for to get to the know layout.
Then basically is open pit lane for a maximum of 15 cars lapping at one time.
Maximum of 40 cars on the day but its likely to be a lot less,
One hour for Lunch
1.7 miles Circuit,
I been told that the surface is only tarmac and is in very good condition
No issue with Cameras/ video systems smile
Close at 4.45pm

If we get more then 10 people going then we all get a free 20 min instructor session

I'd definitely be up for coming along. Possibly with two cameras.

Do I need a crash helmet if i'm to passenger in any cars? I've only got a mountainbiking helmet tongue out

I'm just going to order a new recorder for the camera bounce

Gents, I have just done a MSE day at Keevil, and I'll be there on the 11th too. I can highly recommend the tuition available...

It's a good fast layout, with some very quick corners. did suffer a bit from gravel early on though...

see you there!
