After the 2 or 3 superb weekend runs we had last year, we seem to have slowed down a little this year - everyone's busy and petrol has doubled in price!

So, just looking to poll people for any interest in an early Autumn Sat morning M4 run to South Wales, lunch at Castle Inn again, hoon for the afternoon, B&B pub around Brecon somewhere (Castle Inn even?), Sun morning hoon, lunch at the Beacons visitor centre and a leisurely(ish!) drive back...

Probably a budget per person of £30'ish B&B, £30 on meals, beers and petrol for 350 miles'ish?

And as a small reminder - to include the Military Roads, A4059 Penderyn Road (it was so good we did it twice!) and the ever terrifying Black Mountain switch back...
shoutSHEEP!

Not looking for dates or availability; just any interest? ears

I'm interested, though i'm not sure i'd want to do it in the 330, nor necessarily on the bike...

Count me in too, as long as it doesn't clash with anything.

Well, you could hire a 1.8 Mondeo? I hear they are quite competent on the Welsh mountains! hehe

(£61 for a weekend from Hertz...wink)

Get it right John, it was the 2.0! hehe

I'm up for this depending on dates/clashes.

Yes, but there was probably the equivalent power-loss to a 1.8 when you gave it back! tongue out

Well let's put it this way, it would rev an extra 500rpm in 3rd by the time it went back.

I still miss that wallowy clutch stinking brake destroying old barge. frown

I shall join you guys one friday night but unforunately the earliest I would ever get there for would be 8:30 - 9 which is pretty useless. frown

Anyway back to the thread - The thought of hitting a sheep petrifies me as it would without a doubt kill my car.

Do we all remember this - stumbling out of the cars, with beads of perspiration and saying things like, "are roads like that really legal?!" hehe
