If that's Jeremy, I would struggle to trust him.

The email I sent him made it clear I was in the industry and he was reluctant to even give me a quote.

I spoke with him twice on the phone and arranged for gim to come around. On both occassions he cancelled at the last minute, I'm talking within an hour of the meeting. The second time he cancelled by text....Poor form, if a contractor did that to me at work, they wouldn't be used again.

My Father has now retired, but does small building projects during the winter, he was a Chartered Surveyor who worked his way up from being a builders labourer, he has managed to complete jobs when no one else could, he really knows his stuff and is as honest as the day is long. PM me if you would like any work done. Recent projects include a couple of Conservatories and a bathroom re-build. Can do the plumbing too. Man of many talents!

Pete, I know a good builder if you are struggling. Depends on how big your job is.

Thought it might be, although I slowed down an awful lot as thought it might be someone warning me of a mobile speed camera, lol....

Had a nightmare the other week, I was pulled over three times, first for no reason other than I had left a pub, only had a half of Guiness and didn't even register on the meter, second because i was doing 32mph in a 30 zone, I knew they were behind me, but i thought dead on 30 was more suspiscious. The final one was sitting behind a cycle through twyford and the guy was not peddling, doing about 6mph and traffic coming thick and fast in the opposite direction, rather than this idiot move to the side he sat in the middle of the lane, so when there was a space I accelerated to 45mph, got past and went back down to 30mph, further up the road was PC plod asking me to pull into the layby as he had clocked me doing 45, he said he was waiting for me to do such a thing, when asked what I should have done the reply was continue down the road at 6mph for the length of the road!!! - And i thought there was a law about cycles free wheeling and also acting with undue hesitency. In fact it would have been more dangerous for me not to over take as I know the drivers behind would have been trying to get around me and the bike. 3pts and £60 - bugger!!

The boss (Carl) sold the RS, he thought it was on it's last legs, and also he was offered £2k more than he bought it for 15yrs previous so thought it was a good deal, regrets it now as there was no issue with it, other than a few minor fiddly bits.
He no longer has an active interest in the company and is retired with us having the two directors move up into his position.
However they drive a Golf GTi and a Audi A4 Convertible, the Bentley is owned by the firm of accountants who live in the offices below us, as is the Jag XKR, and other flash motors you see near our buidling, although my colleague had just bought a really beautiful Audi S4 for next to no money, goes as fast as the porsche, more practical and was far less money, however I am sure it's not as much fun!! lol.....
