Thinking of going to Nurburgring end July
Discussion
The Holy Grail of the ‘Ring is calling and its pull is strong , so I’m thinking of planning a trip there in July provisional dates Sunday 20th, Monday 21st, Tuesday 22nd and returning Wednesday 23rd
A brief out line,
Sunday leave early (Euro Tunnel £65 each way)and drive there about 440 miles arrive sometime in the afternoon, (the ‘Ring is open all day until 7.30pm) so we could have a gentle drive around later in the afternoon. Staying in local B-B’s.
Monday open from 1pm to 7.30pm
Tuesday open from 5.45pm to 7.30pm, in the morning find some great roads around the area “Eiffel Mountains”
Wednesday morning back to UK.
If you are interest then let me know or put your comments down/ ideas

Things are falling into place now, I was planning to give some more details this weekend and update this thread. I'm still looking at the same dates.
However i have to go to a family party so i will not get much done so please watch this space.
If you still interested then please add your details.

Have any of you guys going been before?
I ask as there's been a recent discussion elsewhere on the 'net, same thread on an English, Dutch and German 'Ring forum, about the recent spate of closures (the other Sunday it was closed more than open!). The general concensus of the Dutch and Germans is that it's all the fault of the English. I'm sure you guys will be sensible about it, but if you haven't been before, please do look up the rules, or ask. As it's a public road and in Europe, there are rules that are different to a track day or British public road.

I have been out there twice, going back out the beginning on August, for long weekend.
My advise is to take it esay for the first couple of laps, and try and learn a section, do not allow the red mist to form!!!! Keep to the right and let all the faster cars and bikes thru.
Check out www.northloop.co.uk and do a google on Ben Lovejoy for his site.
Hope you enjoy, once you have started going, no trackday seems the same again.
