this maybe controversial but i dont see why they should jump off into a motorway where people will then hit the person and traumatise them! theres plenty of bridges to jump off of which wouldnt cause mass problems for everyone else.

Agreed, this is like people that jump infront of trains, think of the poor driver who hit them!

And the people on the train trying to get somewhere! (especially at the end of the day).

And of course the potential to kill / maim others.

They should be apprehended after the event and given a jolly good ticking off!

If you're that unstable and messed up in the head to attempt suicide, I doubt the effects on others will be considered.

More to be pittied than blamed. RIP.

All the same, I feel for those affected by the incident.

This happened on my way into work a few months back. Everyone stood waiting for the train, nothing coming, no announcements, tempers rising. Then the ticket office bloke came out to announce that someone had gone under a train at Worcester Park, they'd got the air ambulance in attendance, and didn't know when they'd have the line open again.

Of course, everyone immediately dives into sgging the jumper off for being so bloody inconsiderate. It turned out later that it wasn't a jumper at all. It was a 15yr old girl who'd slipped. She'd apparently not been running, not been messing around and certainly didn't jump. She just slipped walking along the platform and fell between two carriages. And thanks to all the selfish fkers who do jump, commuters all up and down the line were sgging her off whilst the air ambulance crew were righting to save her life. Fortunately, they were successful.
