Oh bugger!
Sorry to hear this... but life has a habit of kicking you in the knackers just when you don't want it.
As previously said, things almost always look better through beer goggles
Have a few, get that dissertation sorted, and then get yourself an even better job
Good luck

One door closes - another one opens. It has happened to me a number of times over the years. I can honestly say that I have never ended up in a worse job than the one I left. So - "worry ye not", it always turns out for the better even though it might not feel like it right now.

Chin up fella, it will work itself out.
I was made redundant last October and then contracted back to the same company for 2 days a week on almost the same money as I was earning as a permy! I am in the same boat as you at the moment as my contract ran out last week and they have decided not to renew (canned external spend for fear of economic stalling........)
Funny thing is I am picking up little bits of work from the ex-companies clients and partners so things may sort themselves out.......not too sure yet!
I am sure you will be fine, and if you are young enough to be bothered with further education you are still employable!!
