Just got car back a quick question
Discussion
The section above the bumper has been repaired I presume? That looks very flat and scored. Did you get the usual 'takes 24hrs to dry bks and will look better then'
If you are not happy take it back and keep taking it back till its right, and inform your insurance.
Remember it's 'your' car.

Aint life wonderful,
got to the body shop and the guy ive dealt with most of the time is looking and agrees with me about the paint and the headlamp not been quite right. Then his boss storms over trying to act like mr uber hard man and i showed him it he then goes and gets some p30 polish stuff rubs it it buffs it off in a like a tt and then sais there done! there's still a haze there you can see it so he buff it a bit more like a child in having a hissy fit so i just ignored him and started talking to other guy about the headlamp not been quite right and he goes on about its all genuine skoda part yardyyardy yar and that how they come and to stop complaining as ive been looking for problems with it from the start. i said it my car and i want it fixed properly and he goes off on one about you wont get a better fit around here and that hes not doing any more work on the car and if i have a problem to come in when the engineers in, i told him i was told to come in today and it would be sorted thats why i came in today so when the engineer in tomorrow he sais and walks off like a true wr! and the other guy looks at me and said that working with him, ill see you tomorrow then.
spoken to insurance and they've said to take it back tomorrow and if im not happy to let them know and they'll sort it. thing is now tbh i don't want them working on it so would i be able to get it done elsewhere through insurance and get insurance to pay for it? as all that needs doing is 5 mins with a rotary polisher and the bumper bar moving across a few mm and it'll be fine. (quite tempted to do it myself tbh)

Dave says: Report them directly to the VBRA (Vehicle Body Repairers Assoc) 'cos 1: Their attutude towards your genuine complaint which is log with photograph evidence, 2)Their standard of work is obviously not up to the required insurance work standard.
Normally just the threat of this is enough to get some holes twitching as they stand to loose all their insurance work if shoddy work is proved! Worked a treat when a garage near us repaired rear end damage to our car but dropped another car on the front of it at the same time Also had to use it when a garage filled a panel rather than replaced it but charged for replacement!

Just got back from Scotland and read this, as my car is supposed to be going there they can swanny off if they think they're working on my car, I'll be expecting work else where, quite possibly Audi.
