Hello lads and ladies,

I may have to do quite a few journeys from heathrow to blackbushe in commuter time.7-10am I wondered if anyone could share any traffic hotspots and which route is best? and approximate time of journey?

The most direct is
m4
m25
m3
j4
a30

or alterantive is
m25
a30

Thanks

All I can offer is that Bagshot & Camberley on the A30 in the mornings is a nightmare.

The M3 southbound isn't too bad in the mornings so maybe down there and off at 4a up past Minley barracks and you will be right at the airfield?

I can vouch for all that.
Which bit of Blackbushe are you heading for, bearing in mind I work p-t at BCA?

Quickest would be M25/M3 - assuming that the M25 is not all buggered up.

The M3 is nice and quiet at that time, as most folk are heading into London.

If it was me personally, I'd opt for the A30 - but only because it's an interesting drive. But it will take longer - although it's probably about half the distance.

Bearing in mind A30 going towards Blackbushe is against the flow and is nomally not too bad even when stand still london bound.Little slower though. If M25 is buggered or M3 stand still, go M4, Closed M3 = Gridlocked A30!!

Timewise,M25/ M3 route on a good day during rush hour = 45mins - 1 hr from M25 side,15 mins more for main entrance side.

Definitely M3 over A30, but do you have to do the M25?
