AMG vs Mercedes running costs
Discussion
Hi all,
I'm hunting for a 4 door saloon which could still allow me some fun and I'm looking at the AMG C32. As this will be a commute car (somehow i've ended up at this end of the scale and not the 330d I started at), I need to understand the running costs of the cars i'm looking at.
Having never had experience with an AMG car, I wondered if any on here had?
As always, thanks in advance. The next choice is more fun - an £8k weekend throwabout but more about that when I have the ££ saved.
Cheers,
Neil

There's what we call the AMG tax. Add 20% to all Mercedes prices as a rule of thumb. Should be able to get the car serviced much more reasonably at an indie, of course.
It is, of course, offset by what we call the AMG effect: when you realise you're going faster than you planned and didn't realise it because of the way the cars perform at speed (and accelerate).
