My alarm has given up, its an old VW fob, so wanted to get something to replace it.
Want it to be CAT 1, But I don't want it to be able to control orbiting space stations. I have had numerous quotes from companies ranging from £1000 to £200 but any recomendations ?
Thanking you.

Sound Gallery in High Wycombe. Quite high end stuff but great service and quality. Their showroom's in a warehouse just off the A40 in Loudwater so can see all the various kit and talk through your needs.

What are you looking to achieve is a good place to start, for a basic Car Alarm Cat 1 insurance aproved, look at a Meta system, this will provide security without the Microsoft substation

Also on the TVR look at Microwave sensors, for when the roofs down.

if its to be protections including key theft scenario then look to an Imob their h/o is in the Marlow area and this will alert you in a wide range of situations, battery flat to car on the move, or service centre ragging it!

Any further advice drop me a PM

I'm in Germany but can offer you some pearls of wisdom from several years in the industry.

Just looking for a run of the mill alarm that goes of when its set. as it spends 90% locked up in my garage. so prob wont need self start, boot pop, black jax etc. will call all the people you have mentioned and see what they say.

One other thing from the list above I would go for John Klies, or Sound Gallery, both have very good reputations in the industry,

One other thing don't chase too cheap a price on an alarm, its only as good as the installation, infact a very large section of the Cat 1 approval is based on the installation.

Nigel has a really top notch contact, and is mobile too.

I've got his details somewhere - but I'd recommend Nigels contact yes
