Road trip to Scotland

Anyone fancy a trip to Scotland between now and the end of June, either for a long weekend or for a week?

I have only been to Edinburgh for a stag weekend and i have some holiday to use up so i fancy doing a dash up there and taking some clothes and a camera...

Can't it be tied in with the hire-car challenge? Either way, depending on dates I would be up for it, but I havent got that many weekends free now till the end of June.

I'm not bothered about weekends that much, happy to go for a week.

And we could certainly do the hire car challenge for one day of that week

Would love to abuse molest kill drive a hire car around some of the roads over a weekend!

As for driving my own car up there, I shall get back to you on that one!

Depends on time (as I think I mentioned) I've got almost no free weekends between now and the middle - end of July.

I'd love too, however if it's going to be for more than a day / two I'd be taking my car I reckon.

I'm definately interested Pete. Was up in Edinburgh over the weekend as it happens visiting family and helping out Gran. Had'nt been up for years and really liked the atmosphere when I had a wonder around, thought I'd quite fancy a proper visit (piss up etc ) sometime. And I've heard great things about the roads of course....

If you went in the middle of August you could catch the BTCC at Knockhill while you're there, always very eventful on that track!

I'd be up for this Pete, date dependent. I remember Get Carter saying something about early summer high pressure bringing brilliant weather up there. And I'm a lot closer too.

Been wanting to take the camera up there and sample some good roads for ages.

May 18-24

I'll try and make it along if I can however both of those Sunday's I'll be getting back from a walk up a mountain and I'm heading to Paris on the 24th, I'll see what I can do when you lot agree some dates etc.

Other option would be to do the EVO triangle this coming bank holiday weekend and then head straight to Scotland afterwards for the rest of the week....

Now that would be epic! I'd do it I fear that most of the 'regulars' cannot make those dates though And I am visiting a mate in Birmingham on the 10th. Cracking idea though
