rolleyes By 14:30 today, the day was already going pretty badly, and being in the usual rush to get out, my mind was elswhere when i was reversing "Big Blue" out of the garage. It was at a jaunty angle whilst i had been trying to fit the new sat nav system (which i had discovered doesn't fit!)

Should i take Mrs DJH's car? No, have a blast in the big 'un. I had to be in Windsor within 25 minutes, should be ok?

The V12 fired up gently, but with great purpose.

I selected reverse, eased off the brakes and......

CRACKKKKKKKKKKKK

The sodding boarding covering my inspection pit caved in under the weight of the front of the car, and the FOS wheel dropped through the gaping hole. The car was being supported on this side by the front spoiler thingy.

bks!

Apologies for the quality of the pictures, but i wasn't exactly in a "David Bailey" frame of mind spin

So, Mrs DJH had to take herself to Windsor... and 1 hour later, having broken my lovely new BMW wheel jack, i managed to extricate the wheel from from the hole.

I then gave it a damn good thrashing to make sure that the suspension was ok driving

Ah well, tomorrow's another day...

unfortunately weeping

Worst "my garage is big enough to park a 750i at an angle; AND I have an inspection pit" thread ever... hehe

(glad it was ok in the end though!)

I notice it's the drivers side down the pit.
Next time get Mrs DJH to drive it out. I 'm sure a little less mass to distribute wink

Be very very careful Mcmad as you have the same potential to
fall down your garage pit, the only saving grace for you is that
the pit is full of water so the noble might float smile

sorry to see the pics David, I can see the Friday 6 oclock club
meeting a lot earlier tomorrow to drown the weeks sorrow's

Hi Stuart
Despite the pitstop, the car seems fine thanks.

Friday evening started at 6:45 yesterday. A few beers with the PH boys, quiet affair really! I'm hoping that the Chim will be ready for collection later this afternoon, so i might be late for the Six-o-clock club.

I'll give you a shout.

Is the Baroness looking to come out to play later?
