Lady,

I know that the PH sticker on the back of your car says "Speed Matters" but could you do me two favours please?

1) Headlights, when the visibility is greater than 1/2 a mile are not needed. Please turn them off. Twice in the last week you've cauterised my eyeballs by having them on when they don't need to be on. Last week you had them on when there wasn't even a cloud in the sky AND you were wearing sunglasses!

2) Get the fk away from the back of my car. Plod and driving standards, (yes those boring people) recommend that you leave a 2 second gap between the car in front of you. Now I appreciate that most of us don't do that but leaving a gap of 2 nanoseconds is taking the damn piss. I don't care if you're running late. I don't care if you've got a HPC certificate. I don't care if you're an advanced driver who's completed thousands of laps of the 'ring. I don't care if you're a track racer.

Please please please show some consideration to other road users, back off and turn the damned lights off!

Many thanks.

The (tatty) G plate Silver MX-5 owner who you've encountered all too frequently driving at 'sensible' (ish) speeds.

I know it's not you Emma. The lady who's driving the car is not someone I remember meeting before. She's driving close enough so that I can almost see the colour of her eyes.!

Not sure what your boggle is wrt the lights... the new EU legislation will see all cars built from 2010 (I think) have to have driving lights on 24/7

frown Yeah.. I know. But if she wasn't driving so damned close I wouldn't need to wear sunglasses whenever she's driving behind me.

It's really a matter of scale. Headlights at 10+ metres away are not really any bother. Headlights at less than 1 metre when she's attempting to drive in the centre of the road in an aggressive manner and thus blinding me are an issue.

Ahh yes, I see what you mean! Especially if the lights are Xenons!

I drive around with my headlights on sometimes when I'm hoping it'll help numpties spot me, however good rant thumbup and there's not really any excuse for driving that close, if they can be in the middle of the road they should either overtake or hang back.

Mod note: PH does not support idiotic, moronic, downright stupid and dangerous driving

I've got an E class Merc as a courtesy car at the moment, the headlights are on when the ignition is on.

Shame about people like this, driving like idiots and with a PH sticker for all the world to see rolleyes

Have you looked in members' cars for someone local? Maybe you can find out who it is?

I'm loath to do this as not everyone keeps their profile up to date. There's only 1 person (assuming that profiles are accurate) who 'might' fit the bill.

I'm not really keen on sending a *cough cough* Mod on the Porsche section a message that might / might not relate to his girlfriend / wife, especially as it might be someone else entirely.

note to kinky.. Thought you might update the thread title. I had a sneeking feeling that I might be pushing my luck a bit wink

Sorry Lord Ralf - had to be done. Don't want to be accused of double-standards wink

It shouldn't be an issue unless they're badly adjusted

It's not the fact that the lights are badly adjusted it's the fact that she drives dangerously close and 'out' in the road in an aggressive manner.

Granted I dislike people who feel the need to drive with their lights on when they're not needed but it's really all about her whole attitude to other road users, which sadly can only be classed as poor.
