Marlow bridge width restrictions
Discussion
I can understand the need to limit width and weight to preserve the bridge but they could have come up with something that does not damage every law abiding cars rims as they travel through the restrictions!
Thank god the rim protectors stopped any damage to my car but this is going to upset a lot of 4X4 owners!

Just been through them and interesting angle leaving the bridge towards Bisham. Signs that people have hit them already. Won't be long before a serious accident when somebody goes too fast and hits one of them. It would have been so easy to just use the sensible option and get the police to do this novel idea of policing!
They seem to be designed just to cause damage, with a huge metal lip jutting out just at the bottom. It really beggers belief thay this is legal, it will cause thousands and thousands of pounds of damage and make a terrible traffic blackspot much worse.
Surely the width of the bridge is its own deterent to speeding drivers or did someone once hit it to cause this to massive overreaction
