Hi All

Well my new years about to get off to a cracking start!! Basically I'm going to need a room to rent asap in about a week or two's time. Looks like its pretty much over with my other half and having only relatively recently moved to Bracknell would like to stay round the area. All this on top of being made redundant a few weeks ago and having to look for a new job! Great...lol

So does anyone know of a room up for rent in a shared house/flat somewhere round the Bracknell area or surrounds. I cant really afford a great deal but then again I dont need masses of space.

I cant do anything immediately as I'm down on holiday with my parents on the isle of wight. I need to get something sorted tho within the next two weeks ideally.

Also are there any good websites out there for searching for rooms etc?? Wish i could afford to rent a flat but thats out of the question.

Aside from that a Happy New Year to everyone..!!

try http://www.gumtree.com/ I'd imagine that will sort you out..if not, local agents will have short lets (expensive but good if you're USC without a certain implement) or rooms to let (less so) smile

I know a room to let in surrey at a friends house, but it's in Kingston...and i've no idea where Bracknell is in relation to here i'm afraid smile

hope you get sorted fellow

Thanks for the reply's so far, not the best of starts to 2008 really but hey ho!

Kingston is a bit far away really. Ideally something round Bracknell but will look to Maidenhead, Woking, Ascot etc etc....

You'll need to start hitting sites like:

http://www.spareroom.co.uk

http://uk.easyroommate.com/
I used this one in the past to find a room in Wolverhampton

http://www.fish4.co.uk/iad/lettings
Used to have rooms but they might have put them out to....

http://www.flatmateclick.co.uk/

Cheers for that, i've been on all but one of those so far. Not having too much luck in my price range.

The toruble with letting from an agent at this point is that due to not long being made redundant I have no income at present.

The other problem I have currently is due to my situation with the ex I'm having to conduct my search from down on the IOW where my parents are. Tis not really helping...lol
