New Question - What would you buy with a bigger budget?
Discussion
Having thought about things, I am revising my question. What would you buy with a budget of £40 - £50K?
It needs to satisfy the following criteria:-
Needs no more than 2 seats
Needs to have space for luggage for 2 for a week away.
Needs to look and sound stunning
Should have awesome performance (more than my present car)
Need not be practical - will only be used for fun weekends.
Suggestions?

Looks good having checked your previous cars...
Although this might be a better choice for a daily driver?

Greg, you answered this yourself on Sunday
996 GT2, however that would mean blowing the budget again as the only ones I can see start at £65k+
Corvette, suits you
Monaro, well under budget
M6 is nearly perfect I'd say and you can probably find one for under £50k
I really hate to say this, but after what you said on Sunday I'm not sure a TVR is the thing for you.

Having owned one - 993 turbo. Performance is phenomenal (quicker than a 996tt to 120mph) and you'd be surprised how different it is to your C2.
Alternatively, how about a Morgan Aero 8 or a Marcos TSO? I know Marcos have just gone down (again) but that's a hell of a car if there are any for sale... or more mainstream, the Corvette C6 (convertible or 7 litre, not the vanilla one) is a useful tool.
