Unmarked police car
Discussion
After being a little bit naughty this morning I was tailed by a white Evo for about 4 miles from Eversely to the A33. Two Bib on board, no hats but he was close enough for me to see white shirts, B&W ties and "waistcoats". I could make out what looked like lights behind the rad opening but he was too close to read his reg. number.
Keep an eye out.

A few weeks back I followed an unmarked green V70 estate through the 50mph zone in the M4. Could see the lights in the back but it also had lights on the bars that were attached to the roof rails. Whats all that about? Very flash and never seen them like that before.
I have seen a few unmarked now that have the slim lights on the roof, very sneaky as look just like a roof-rack.I had a blue subaru impreza complete with roofrack surging upto my bumper constantly for about 2 miles until he got bored and passed me.
Only when he passed me did I see that it wasn't completely blue, the front 1/3 of the car was blue and the other 2/3's was painted up in police colours and what I thought was a roofrack was infact a very slimline set of lights.

do TVP still use unmarked omegas like they have on road wars on sky?
Very few of them left - will by Vectras. Reading have one Miggy, Chieveley have none and Abingdon have one which will be replaced soon. Can't answer for the rest of the force.bmwdrivernigel said:

Yes, Omegas is no longer being used at TVP as the lease for those Omegas has now expired. Some are still using it (as long as they don't exceed 100,000 miles limit otherwise they will pay the mileage penalties)
I am in the car hire and leasing bsiness and deals a lot with TVP. They have lots of silver/dark blue Vectra, 4 or 5 dark blue Subaru Impreza and one BMW M5 !!! - I have seen the cars as I go to TVP head office in Kidlington...I am not allowed to give out the reg number on the open forum.
Be careful, guys - DON'T DRIVE FAST at nights........Lots of unmarked police cars are all over Thames Valley areas!

Just read this and TVP buy cars from Vx at cost in conjunction with BedsPol - no cars are leased and TVP do not use Scoobys or BMWs. Some have been sent to TVP on a free trial for a few weeks at a time though the Vx contract will be in place for many years to come.I am in the car hire and leasing bsiness and deals a lot with TVP. Sometimes Police forces will lease a car (for whatever reason ) for a short period of time.
