Prodrive day out
Discussion
As some of you may know I organised a day up at Prodrive for Rob and a few others for his Birthday. Today was the day and I will leave it to Rob and Ben to let you know how it went! Suffice to say the BMWs there were treated with respect
And I have never seen 2 guys smiling so much after a few 'hot' laps in a M5 touring, and we even got a sneak preview of the soon to be launched M3 of which we were strictly forbidden to take photos of, Ben will be posting them tomorrow

top man Ben - why can I not say I'm not suprised
A top day then by the sounds of it. And the weather held too!
So who cacked their pants then? Come on .... Rob?
K
I have to say, it was awesome!!
Never in my life has someone said to me "You have 40 minutes, choose between that fleet of cars out there and hammer the life out of them around the track". Needless to say I jumped in the 335i coupe, 535D and the Z4 roadster and hammer them is just what I did!
We also got the chance to do some off-roading which I have to say was pretty impressive and a real eye opener as to just how good the systems are on the X3 and X5. You can also go pretty fast in them over hills too can't you Ben?
Then we got onto the slalom course and skid pan where it became apparrent to us all that Nigel is a former car thief, I have never seen someone execute a handbrake turn like that in my life!
All in all it really was a superb day out and I can't thank Nigel enough for organising it.
Oh and before I forget, the M5 was outstanding! I arrived at prodrive at 11:30am and I all I can say is that it was nailed around the track by a bigger nutcase than Nigel until 5pm and it didnt miss a beat. I couldn't believe just how rapid it felt in a straight line or just how sideways it could go!
My dads already stuck his name down for the next one....I think you have brought out the fast driver in him again Nigel!

Was at work, but I'd have left early to go down there to say hi
