I was wondering firstly if we should get some 'customised' t-shirts made for the SAS football team at PistonFest, which basically had our SAS logo (whatever that happens to be) and our PH name - "Kinky" (for example).

But then it got me thinking that perhaps we just create one for all SAS'ers (assuming they want one).

All self-funded of course. I don't think we could/should have the PH logo and/or name on there - although we could ask - but I'd guess the answer is NO upfront.

We'd need people to:
Source the t-shirts (perhaps we use existing PH ones and 'add to them')
Do we print or embroider them, or both?
Source a supplier to print them at a reasonable cost
Create the design
Manage and collect the payments
Distribute to everyone

Thoughts?

Sounds good to me, maybe use the white long sleeved PH ones as they seem to be good quality, what would be the minimum run we would need? There must be 20/30 SASers surely that would want them, even 2 or 3 if available in different colours, you know PINK, YELLOW, LIME GREEN etc

I think that depends on if we go for a personalised one - like adding Kinky or BeemerNige to each one - or we keep them generic - "SAS"

I'm all for the personalised versions - subject to costs of course.

But we need someone to find all this out (as per checklist).

Emphasis on "someone" What I'm saying is not me hehe

And we'd need SAS logo (if we decide to do that) and maybe a PH logo/wording (if allowed - suspect not).

Couldnt we use 'SAS Pistonfest 2007' along with our names and then design/find a suitable logo for the back?

Any artists around? ( No Ben I said artists not pi55 artists! )

I used these once before to make some T-shirts.

www.spreadshirt.com

You can design them completely online including any photos you want printed on there and then they print and send them to you. They're based in Germany but when I used them I had no problems. The finished T-shirts were excellent quality.

Was messing around with this! Stuck the pistonfest logo on the back.... on the front we can put our sas logo and underneath it put our names and the slogan or whatever tickles your fancy

We'll need to check if we can use PF logo - which to be honest I'll be very doubtful for.

The other alternative is to buy the PF t-shirts when they come in and we can use those.

Anyway - I'll see what we can and can't do.

But I'll be 100% honest and up-front - I do not expect to get permission to use PH/PF logos for own t-shirts - but there's nothing to stop us taking existing PH t-shirts and customising them.

If we go for this option, then obviously there's a cost implication (I'll ask if we can do a group buy hehe), and then finding someone to print/embroider onto.

Customising existing tshirt is good!

Maybe we can use a customised tshirt as our flag

Our company won't be able to print these otherwise I would do it happily.

However I will check to see if I can get prices from some people in the same industry and hopefully I will get somewhere. If not we can check out a few online companies.
