Given my concern over the lack of January SAS boozing dates here is my informal suggestion for a post Christmas, pre Easter, pre payday and pre third Millenium celebration. So kick your feet back and get your adjustable shocks around this. Yes, come try the Spanglefoot bitter & Mambypambylamby lager at 8pm (ish), Sat 20th Jan, at The Bee in Windlesham. It's just off A30, use the junction nearest to the Ming Cottage. It's a spit and sawdust pub despite the location, but the beer is usually alright. This is not a car meet although there should be plenty of parking avail at the pub or the next street down, Poplar Avenue. That said, F430 Stradales will be slightly more welcome than Fiat Stradas aka Ritmos. Any volunteers or questions, just let me know, cheers Geoff (aka Rad1cal) ps I will be carrying a copy of The Times, wearing a red carnation and drinking the '95 St Emilion ...

Hello K, if that is a question asking if the pub sells decent Guinness then the answer is yes

Nigel - I shall give you a comprehensive debrief at an impromptu-yet-to-be-arranged SAS meeting; just so I can brief you mind. No other reason

Thanks K, And as an aside has anyone had the pleasure of eating at the Haut Boy In Ripley?
I have to be there on Saturday and have never been before so a heads up would be good. Oh yes and while i am on the subject, the Talbot Hotel Ripley?
I hate being forced to attend these things but I have to obey every now and then.

We go there for the Surrey TVR meets, in my opinion its expensive, the food is good/ok, but the servings are too small..

However, thats the bar, i believe there is a restuarant as well

Yeah I'd go with vixpy on that. The food is pretty good but you do pay for it. The building's quite interesting though - not your average pub.

Myself and Equinox_1275 are otherwise engaged i'm afraid so we'll be missing this one.

For those of you coming to the curry night on Thursday though, we'll see you there
