Hi All,

Anyone recommend a decent aluminium welder nr Woking? need some mods to a tank.

Pics

I have used Exact Weld (very good - built tank above + a nice alloy sump) in East Grinstead - but I don't work over that way anymore so not so handy so was looking for someone nr Woking.

Regards
Si

Thats the one, he is based near Brookwood station making signs.
A great bloke, if he doesn't know the answer he knows someone who does.

that would make sense there is a welders listed at that location on yell.co.uk - I did take a look but could not see any sign of a welders.

many thanks for the tip off

Gomm Metal Developments in Old Woking been working on aluminium racing tubs (f1 eg. coopers lotus etc)forever.
i'm sure they still do f1 work now, and i think they did the aluminium tub for 80's mclaren (when they were unbeatable). hence Woking location.

or not far sportcar metalworks in iver specialising in aluminium bodied MG A's,

don't know whether either company will do your work, but both are experts in aluminium.

Gomm have a website just can't find address, and google don't help. i'll see if i can find an advert in Motorsport magazine.
