SAS 2007 Schedule
Discussion
Dear All,
Following on from the overwhelming success of the SAS Christmas bash that we had recently, the SAS committee (those who turned up at the pub tonight) have provisionally agreed the following schedule.
I should stress that dates may change depending on external factors - PistonFest, BT&P, etc, etc, and we'll update this accordingly.
I know I speak on behalf of the whole committee (myself, RS71, Beemer Nige and Trivia) when I say that we were extremely impressed at the turnout of SAS members. Taking members locations into account, we've decided to spread the SAS far and wide to ensure that everyone has a 'local' event. We feel this is only fair to everyone.
You will see we have alternate months between the SAS base at the Royal Oak Sunningdale (beer night only) and different locations (beer and munchies).
Please note, ALL events are on Thursday nights.
So provisional schedule as follows:
January 20th: Windlesham: The Bee, Windlesham: Beers only
February 22nd: Maidenhead: Meet at the Harvester (ex-Dumbell) Pub, eat at the Blue River Cafe
March 16th: Chobham: St. Patricks Celebration: Bluebeckers, Chobham
April 19th: Old Windsor: Meet at the Wheatsheaf, eat at Puntos
May 25th/26th/27th/28th: Snetterton: Pistonfest
June 28th: Royal Oak, Sunningdale: Beers only
July 26th: Camberley/Blackwater: Meet and eat at the Ely
August 22nd: Crowthorne: Prince pub Crowthorne, eating at Kabirs
September 27th: Royal Oak, Sunningdale: Beers only
October 25th: Guildford: Guildford Curry night
November 22nd: Royal Oak, Sunningdale: Beers only
December 6th: Chobham: Meet at the 4 Horseshoes, eat at the O&E (repeat of SAS Christmas bash)
Discuss.

Neil - I've no idea on the Wheatsheaf in Woking sorry.
But I should add that each location was specifically chosen as they have plenty of parking space and a decent menu/price and walking distance from a local pub. With the exception of the Ely in Blackwater which meets all criteria in one!

Great work guys!
Sorry I couldnt be there to help you sort this out, but it seems that you did just fine without me!
I cant wait for the next SAS Christmas dinner either, that was great fun! The venue was abit tight considering I was stood near the gents toilet for most of the night, but it was perfect as it was literally a minutes walk to the restuarant which suited me just fine.
I look forward to seeing you all in the new year, and I promise, work permitting I will leave the car at home on the odd occasion.

Nicely done Sir Kinkalot and HRH Nigel and the rest of the committee.
As for the Bracknell/Ascot area, since i work around there and live not far away i already have some ideas, and i'm sure myself and Liz can spend a few weekends testing the local waters
Might even bump into Nigel on our travels... we'll just look for an abandoned BMW in the car park!
