Just heard from Marcus - he's been hit while riding back to London He's OK (well, he can text, so he can't be too bad ) but the bike's not well Just finding out now the damage and whether he really IS OK... Will keep you posted....

Update: His elbow hurts but isn't broken. The fairing on his bike is damaged and there are some "sticky out bits". The driver of the car stopped and there is also one witness. The car has minimal damage to one light cluster (which is fairly typical in car/bike accidents!)

He seems to be on top form still

I bet he really regrets coming last night now - what with getting flashed too... (and not in a good way!)

Yeah, what a way to greet kinky!

Poor sod!

Hopefully last night made up for the mishaps to and from kinky towers. Let us know how things are when you are back Marcus and I'm glad to hear you areant too badly hurt.

I'm sure the bike can be looking as good as new in no time.

edit- Late nights and spelling do not go together

I hope he's okay. Hopefully the bike will be fixable too. Not sure if I met him last night or not, I lost track of who I spoke to a bit!

hehe

By the collision I believe, but afterwards by his boots would be just as believable! If I'd been able to get up off the tarmac after MY motorbike accident, I would certainly have given the flipping (white) van drivers a piece of my mind!

Thats what scares me about bikes!

I would love to own one but I think you can be too easily parted from it through your own stupidity, but more so by other people who areant paying attention and have no observation.

I'll just have to go incredibly fast on four wheels instead

Hope he recovers soon. I used to ride motorbikes until I started having kids and fell off once too often, quite frankly it's something of a poker game as whether you survive - expecially when the road's wet. As such, I opted for a safer mode of Transport and bought a TVR!!!

Sorry to hear of this, glad to hear he's ok and that it's only metal and plastic that's damaged. Funnily enough there's thread running on Biker Banter about being pulled out on at the moment.

Back home, and fine, huge thanks for the thoughts, gang thumbup

Not a serious one at all, the gear did its job, and I find that sliding down the motorway hurts an awful lot less than I had anticipated.
So that done, virginity broken, I shall get on with life.

Slightly foxed end can

Bye bye Plastic bits

Needed a new brake switch anyway, and the metal isnt shiny enough

Bloody well done, Arlen Ness

Marcus, leathers + wet road =
Been there, done that. Unfortunately when the road is dry you end up with a friction burn, much less fun...

Glad you're in one piece mate!
