Almost felt as though I had a puncture (or a 747 was flying a little low!)

Anyone else noticed it? It goes on for a few hundred meters and it really affected the handling of the car. I wasn't posting any new land speed records, just pootling along around the speed limit and suddenly I'm restling with the steering wheel as the car swerves!

odd route from Guilford to Reading...but never mind...do the run daily & never noticed including doing it in a car that notices every undulation & oddness. Now the inside lane along that stretch just past the M25 has 2 huge tyre width grooves left by artics which definitely upset the car, could have been this you noticed.

That is probably it. Really affected the car though.

I was actually going to Henley. Find M4 - M25 - A3 quicker than aldershot etc. Can do it, when traffic is not a problem, in about 35 mins and I don't in any way excessively speed. Find the other route can be difficult if you get stuck behind slower drivers.

I'll look out for it next time and be ready, thanks.

Try Guildford, A322 to Bracknell then round to the 3M building and off towards Twyford, then Wargrave and Henley ... Did this daily for years in the past. Good fun too on the NSL's !!! 32Miles exactly if I remember correctly

Yeah, I tried it once, must of been a bad day for idiot drivers because it took me an hour. I'll give it a go again though.

Thanks.

Best route - Always the way I'd go, but then I hate motorways
