Speed camera site or not (Farnham Road, Guildford)?

According to this, there's supposed to be a camera site on Farnham Road in Guildford. And according to the PDF, it's currently a mobile site and supposedly there will be a fixed camera installed sometime this year. However, I've not seen any camera warning signs at all on that stretch.

I don't drive it that much, but I suppose it is easy to get caught out due to the steep hill. Anyway just wondering if anyone else has heard anything more.

According to the pocketgps database there are no camera sites between the station and the A3 - this generally means none have ever been seen there.

They might just be storing it up as a legitimate site in case they need more cash...

According to the local press a Gatso will be installed there shortly..
There is also a mobile van often parked on the Cathedral r/o and on the approach road to the back of the station.

Really? I suppose though they could make some cash from enforcing that silly 30 limit on the short wide road which goes under the A3 next to the roundabout.

That's the one. Come off the roundabout near Tesco and they wait on the roundabout at the other side of the A3.

As has been said- there's been camera vans between tesco and catherdral roundabout, plus also I've seen plod with speed guns on farnham road pointing them up hill at traffic coming in once or twice (this was 3 years ago mind...)

I've seen the mobile one on the farnham bound side of the A31, this was only two weeks ago. It was a saturday afternoon and is the only time i have seen one in that area

I use the A31 every day. There is no camera or van near the station on Farnham road. There is sometimes a van on the A31 southbound - about halfway between the hotel and the Compton turning. difficult to stick to 60 there.

Mate the A31 has the bloody vans out on both carriage ways regularly.

BTW it's East and West
