HELP: Exhaust Repairs in Berkshire
Discussion
Many garages won't weld exhausts for some reason. Certainly the likes of Kwik Fit won't, although traditional "real" garages (ie. back street variety with real mechanics) will probably do it.
It's got to the point now where some garages actually feel it is worth mentioning in their adverts - "exhaust welding undertaken". Given that, it may be worth doing a search on yell.com or google for "exhaust welding" specifically.

I've had garages weld up the front seam on my old tvr s3 that was always the first thing to hit a speed bump a couple of times.

Anyhoo, Fer, what I was getting at was that if the section you wanted welding is mild steel and was a split join in a reasonably accessible place I'd have welded it up for you.

I had several garages refuse to weld a hanging bracket back onto the Corrado's exhaust!
Gave up in the end and resolved to just run it 'till it broke.
However, the next time it was at Dave's for a service he noticed it and just welded it. I only knew about it when he handed the keys back and said "I noticed a bracket had come off your exhaust so took the liberty of welding it back on for you".
