Camera Vans more common in Uxbridge/Denham
Discussion
Am I going mad but there seems to be more camera vans popping up in this area.
As you come off the M40 and head towards Denham, there's a lovely three lane stretch of road that leads up to a set of traffic lights near the Esso and BP's garages, if you time this right you can make it all the way up the hill, and get the lights on green and have a good run until you reach the police station on the right.
Recently more camera vans with police patrols have been popping up, camera van at bottom of hill with half the countys police force parked at the Ugly Duckling Pub/Harvester, this is also happeniong more often!!???
They also like to hide a camera van just before the Texaco on your way into Uxbridge if you were to come off the M40 and head away from Denham, I've seen many a fast car caught out there!

If you head off the A40/M40 and head towards the Chalfonts at Denham,
Along the 3 lane road off the A40, through the traffic lights by the BP garage (keeping left), the road turns to the left as you go up the hill.
There is a layby on the left handside (just before you can branch off to the right to head for the Chalfonts/Amersham). Used to be a favourite place for a marked car to sit with a laser picking people off. They normally had a couple of cars there which would go after you depending on which way you had gone.

That IS the A40 - at Tatling End. Thanks for the tip.

Ah true.
Used to do Wendover to South Harrow everyday. What a lovely journey that was
Top tip. Can't believe I never seen one there. It is certainly one of the best driving stretches around. Personal fav is joing the M40 from the A40 towards London - Fast left, flick the roundabout and bang it up the long left onto the Motorway - sweet.
Also the "Alcan Run" seems to be getting a good local reputation. Lap the roundabout twice in CstP before taking off down the dual acrriage way towards Denham and note your speed as you pass the Alcan gates on the left. 170 is the best I have heard in a car (hired ferrari!).
