Another PHer alerted me to this today:

Ted, on my way home from work this morning I was pulled over by a lot of coppers on the A40 by the shell garage. They did the usual checks, then told me there had been a massive number of burglaries this weekend in the Marsh, Loudwater and Holtspur- they were breaking into houses to load goods into the owners high powered cars then make off, using the London road as a rat run to Slough (britwell estate), or they were nicking Impreza's etc for the purpose- the A40 was crawling with police, and they had more bikes and air support further up the road.

Might be worth garaging the car if possible...

Still, reassuring to know that in Flackwell Heath we have at least two "Police Speed Check" areas - at least if you believe the signs placed by the roadside. I'm sure we all lie awake at night worrying about speeding motorists and are completely unconcerned about burglary, car theft, mugging etc.

By the way Ted, my wife gave your wife some feedback when she bumped into her at the nursery the other day. Something about me "wasting hours on that bloody stupid car site"! Bloody cheek.

Is it even possible to speed in FH with all those speed bumps along the main road ?

I and members of my family saw an unmarked Vauxhall (Omega?) on the London Road and A40 towards GX on Friday. I saw it when it had pulled a vehicle for parking on the approach to a crossing by the Paper Mill at Loudwater, and again in the evening nearer HW. It was also seen near the Bell House on Friday pm. Strangely it was driven by a uniformed officer.

Thats Tango Victors.

Currently a large operation running with alot of proactive work going on.

Remember to always keep your car keys safe and the house secure as alot of stuff happening is oportunist work leaving doors insecure and car keys visible or easily found.

There is something big on its way and the cars are not running to Britwell.

It did seem funny to me 'cos the A40 doesn't go to Slough

How long do we have to wait for whatever it is? C'mon; CLUES!

Not on the M40.

It's up by Handy Cross, and at the top of Marlow Hill some cctv cameras are running ANPR software which is picked up at the CCTV unit near wycombe council.

Interesting.

Still leaves me curious... We've got all this technology but what good is it doing us?

Britwell is where alot of ahem interesting people live but thats not where the cars are going to.

Its easy to say they are going to the britwell as thats a place alot of people have herd of.

Big thing should involve vehicles and hopefully make some news.

At 16:00hrs Wednesday I left the M40 westbound at J2 and not only had there been a m/c policeman on the hard shoulder at the M25 on slip north/westbound (about 5 miles back along the M'way) accompanied by a traffic car, but the entrance to the Hedgerley road from the A355 immediately adjacent to the roundabout of J2 was swarming with Police vehicles. That road runs parallel with the motorway and is where the new Prescott Service Area is to be built. Just after you enter it and pass the timber yard, the road lies very close to the off slip at J2 and you can see the Police activity from the slip road.
