The neighbour reveresed into my Girlfriends 987.2 Cayman at the weekend and we initially asked for a Porsche approved place, they cannot provide this but have offered us the chance to source our own. my non proffesional opinion it will need a rear light replaced, rear bumper replacement and paint.

Does anybody have recommendations for a good one in the area ( within reason ) ?

I've used Little Knocks in Wokingham over the years for ascetic damage and always found them to do a fantastic job, and are fairly well priced.

Auto Technics on Windsor Road in Maidenhead - used them multiple times for the fleet at work, and they've done two of my personal cars as well - would recommend.

Agreed. These guys sorted my vw and it was spot on. Its vw approved if that counts for anything.

I used to use little knocks when I lived in ruislip and had them repair my clio in 2020 out of wokingham after i moved to maidenhead. I had a lot of issues with them not doing it properly, including me cycling down there to see the results of a st job 2 times which was a 3 hour round cycle so I'd avoid them if I were you.

+1.

You may have had the work done by now, but I hear good things about Riviera. A friend has had work done on his Ferrari there and was very positive about the results. If it's relevant this work was private, not through the insurance.

I used Riviera twice for my 360 - once private (rear bumper repair) and once third party insurance claim. They are excellent.

Having said that - the best paintwork I've had done was at M&A in Bracknell - but I think they focus almost entirely on a single marque these days.

For future ref, AutoBody Technic in Langley are also highly regarded for Porsche bodywork. Not to be confused with Bodytechnics in Slough, now part of HR Owen, who did a very so-so job on my 996 Turbo S many years ago, despite being approved by VW, McLaren, etc etc.

Thames Valley repairs in Furze Platt are excellent. Have used them a few times for repairs and paint.

George is a great guy - his classic Jag restorations are beautiful.
