Discussion
Looking back I see we're approaching the 15th anniversary of my little brother showing you all how to drive a kart. Doesn't seem like there has been any karting for a while on here, so I guess I'm seeing if there may be some appetite for a race.

It's harder to organise a group than you'd think though. I have tried in the past, once successfully, the other times not.
You'd be amazed how many people balk at paying £45 or complain they don't/do like indoor tracks/outdoor tracks, etc. Despite me trawling the main automotive forums it's pretty clear that karting, despite being 4 wheeled fun, is a niche activity/interest for most car enthusiasts.
I go with 2 friends and we just join an open session and do 2 x 15min runs. The other driver's can be 'interesting'!

Maybe that's the move then. Post up an arrive & drive session far enough in advance so that it'd be empty then people can book on if they want. Saves one person having to take the responsibility and cost of making the booking.

Yes, we've done that too in the past at Daytona in MK. Sunday mornings often work best as people are mostly free then. For some reason though they stopped offering these events on Sunday mornings . In the week there is a often a lot of people who can't get home/to a kart track in time.

Has anyone raced at the Bayford Meadows track in Sittingbourne? Is it good / worth travelling to? Me and a mate are looking to book a SuperPro 270 session there in the coming weeks.
Bayford Meadows is great fun! I haven't been for years but raced Club100 there and loved it. Although I think Buckmore Park is probably my favourite...Gassing Station | Thames Valley & Surrey | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
