Alloy wheel refurb (part 2 of the saga begins)
Discussion
See my last post on the previous thread if you want to read about the problems encountered with the West End guys. So, moving on, I've now booked in with Wicked Wheels www.wickedwheels.co.uk/ as mentioned by jonscz.
Their nearest site to me is on the Slyfield Industrial Estate (the other side of Woking for me, heading towards Guildford). Although they offer a mobile service, what interested to me is their while-u-wait service (you need to book an appointment) which sounds ideal, especially if you've been through a 10-day-without-car trauma like me. Booked in for tuesday, will report back.

Ok, not sure how many people are desperately interested in this, but here we go.
I have good things to report about Wicked Wheels on the Slyfield Estate, nr Woking. The end result is great, I'm very pleased. The cost was £40 plus VAT which I think is reasonable (my wheel was pretty badly scuffed). The while-u-wait service took about 2 hours rather than 45-60 minutes, but they made me a coffee, and I had taken some car mags to read.
Alternatively, you can drop your wheels off and they'll give you a turn around time, usually a day but can be 3 or 4 if they need to be sent away to be dipped in acid (as they say).
Apparently they've stopped offering the mobile service, too much hassle.
Overall, definitely recommended. End of saga, goodnight.
