hi all - I have factory applied PPF stone guard panels on the lower bodywork ahead of the rear wheels of the Lotus, and got one of them scraped to the point where it needs replacing. Can anyone recommend a good paint protection film installer who could do a custom size and if necessary touch up the paint underneath (since I won't know if the scuff has gone all the way through until the PPF is off)?

Reading and surrounds ideally though I would travel if necessary. Cheers beer

Yes - I can heartily recommend Gemclean in Swallowfied, just south of the M4.

They did the paint and PPF on my 1M, as well as some other bits and bobs. They’re very busy, and my car was probably the cheapest thing they’ve worked on this year, but the guys that run it are super-friendly, and very giving of their time and guidance.

Some advice though - go down in person for a chat, they have a LOT of time wasters. Also, they’re not the cheapest - but you get what you pay for. They’re a full service place so can do paint and trimming on the premises too.

thanks - I had heard much the same about them (busy, not that cheap, do a good job). I'll give them a shout but am always open to other suggestions ;-)

I can also recommend Concours Detailing in Aldermaston. Not used them myself (I default to Gemclean as above) but a good friend used them and they did a great job.

They’re 25 mins from Reading so pretty close.

Another one - a good mate uses daintons.co.uk who are off Portman Road in Reading. They’re currently doing his M2 and he’s very impressed thumbup

If you’re only after splash guards is a small simple job, so just pick the one you like most and go for it.

I popped by here today, he’s got a nice setup and had 2 gt3, a g63 and a gr Yaris lined up, which was a good sign

I have personally used Daintons detail on several of my cars and they come highly recommended.

My particular favourite was the almost full covering they did on my 996 GT3, looks incredible and will hopefully keep the stones away.
