I’ve been seeing someone for a while who works in Odiham. To make it work I am thinking of leaving Devon and moving in with him. I don’t know anything about the area. Fortunately I remote work so finding a job is not an issue.

Food wise I tend to get things delivered as working globally it’s hard to pin down a time to go out. I like cooking so not bothered about restaurants etc.

Thanks

Hook isn't a bad little village, although it is undergoing some expansion at the moment with a large estate being built on the north. Mainline to London, easy access to the M3/A30. Some really pretty little villages around and about (Rotherwick and the like). There aren't that many amenities in Hook but enough to survive, it does have a large Tesco. A couple of pubs, village butcher and that's about your lot. One of the nicer places.

Its basically all nice surrounding Hook apart from about 10 miles north, Reading, just avoid there. Basingstoke as a big town is easy to get to and in and around being a mainly modern town. It used to have a bad reputation, but now has changed alot for the better.
Fleet, Alton, Farnham, all nice local towns with expensive property price's.

Hartley Wintney is another nice village and I also like Farnham if you prefer a town. Hope it works out for you.

Used to be a good place for work too with Virginmedia HQ, and both BMW HQ along with BMW Finance Alphabet HQ.
But they all moved out 2-3yrs ago leaving a big hole for employment in the village.

BMW now being in Farnborough at the old Nokia HQ complex.

You also need to be a fan of Helicopters ! lol. What with RAF Oldham being next door.
