Hi all

I have found some small rust bubbles appearing on the rear wheel arches and want to get it removed before it gets any worse and ideally get the underside of the car wax oiled and into the chassis as well if possible.

Any recommendations for someone in the Wokingham-ish area who can do a proper job because I certainly don't want to have to be revisiting it periodically.

Many thanks

Phil

Any rust bubbles you can see will have perforated the steel already. There will be considerable rust between inner and outer arch already unfortunately. To stop rust any further you could try treating with a watered down wax mix using white spirit and with a few coats using a pressure applicator you may get lucky to seal the existing corrosion and stop any more oxygen getting to it. Depends on what it’s worth to you. I find the cutting out and welding repairs are fairly easy it’s just getting it all repainted and finished as if it hasn’t been touched.

Thanks

Its a rare car and a keeper so I want to get it sorted properly -as you say, its the paint and finish that's key as well as doing it properly so that it doesn't re-occur.

Any recommendations welcome.
